Rock 'N Metal Jewelry is based out of Sheridan, Wyoming. I do not have a physical store but local customers are welcome to come to my home studio to pick up their purchases (by appointment). I do local craft shows throughout the year as well.
I have been making jewelry to some extent since I was a teenager. I come from generations of rock hounds on both sides of my family so I have always loved rocks and gemstones. Many years ago my children bought me a jewelry making book that teaches wire working and I was hooked on creating beautiful pieces with wire & gemstones. And so it began. As with most jewelry makers it started as a hobby but it soon got to the point where I was making so many things that I decided to turn the hobby into a business so other people could enjoy my creations. After many years of just selling at craft shows and having people ask me if I have a website, I decided it was time to get one. So here we are.
All of the pieces are hand-crafted by me. At times I will use purchased findings and components within my designs but I usually try to make my own findings and components whenever possible. Although I usually work with sterling silver and copper, I will occasionally include gold-filled and silver-filled pieces along with some bronze, brass, and silver-plated brass or copper items. The item descriptions will always identify the metal or metals used in the piece.
Most of the gemstones I use in my pieces are purchased and I try to buy only from reputable sources. The item descriptions will always indicate what the gemstone is based on what it was represented as to me when it was purchased. I do not guarantee the accuracy or authenticity of any gemstone. Occasionally I will purchase gemstones that have not been identified by the seller or that were included in mixed gemstone lots without any specific identification of each stone. I will do my best to identify the stone but will always disclose if the identity is questionable. There are also some gemstones that may have different names for the same gemstone. In these instances, I will use the name given when it was purchased. Some stones will be natural and others may be enhanced. If you have any additional questions about a particular item, please contact me.
I will try to represent the item as best as possible in the photos included. If you would like additional views of an item, please contact me and I will take more photos and email them to you. Most items in my store are one of a kind items and the picture will show the actual item you will receive. However, the photos for some items in my store, such as chains, cords, findings, etc., are representative of the item you will receive.
